Louis Vuitton key pouch S in monogram

Oops, I did it again 😉

Yep, I sure did! 10 years ago, I made my first Louis Vuitton purchase. I knew I’ve always wanted to own at least one item from this line because why not? Little did I know it would turn into more and more purchases down the road, lol.

Let me explain…

Before making such purchases, I was completely fine using bags and wallets from any store. Luxury pieces never really crossed my mind. Bags were bags, and wallets were wallets. Material felt completely fine. Of course it did. I knew nothing of what owning luxury items was like. To be honest, I thought it would be the same as owning designer bags, ie. Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, etc. I was so wrong! Those bags ended up feeling extremely cheap and they never would last me an entire year, without it already beginning to fall apart at the straps! You’d think that those bags costing anywhere from $150 - $400 could handle the daily use, it didn’t. After about 2 maybe 3 months, the wear and tear on them would show and progressively worsen, causing me to make new purchases every couple of months that would add up to the same amount as a luxury bag. Respectively thinking, why not just purchase one and call it good for awhile?

All in all, luxury pieces hit differently because of how meticulously they’re made.. You can use them daily and it would still look awesome a year later. Re-selling pieces is great, yet even better if you’re selling a piece that is no longer being sold on their website. Those items go above original asking prices, granted they weren’t altered in any way shape or form. By that, you can not create holes that allow hooks to be added. You can not add clear nail polish to the metal pieces to try and prevent it from dulling out. Louis Vuitton will not accept pieces that needs to be fixed if the item has been manipulated. Fair game!

Anyway, after owning the “Key Cle” for over a decade, I decided to retire it. They recently came out with the Key Pouch S (SMALL) that’s larger than the original key pouch, formally known as the “Key Cle” and it is everything I dreamt it would be! I now can carry more, and it's absolutely perfect for those days when you need to make a quick run. Honestly, that’s really what made this piece so popular back in the day. It was the conveniency of things. The Key Pouch (Key Cle) should be your first item to own if you’re new to the game. It doesn’t cost much compared to all other listings. Of course back when I had gotten it, it didn’t cost what it costs these days at $355. Please keep in mind that eventually it does pay for itself. Money spent now is money well spent in the years to come assuming you have your shit together.
