Finally came across a tiny library built on the side of the road that was actually equipped with books for anyone to read. It was jammed packed! I’ve seen them in my area before, but stopped looking into them, because the ones near by were either empty or contained with children’s books that were absolutely too young even for Kendra to read, so of course we naturally gave up on them like anyone else would. Then, this day happened! We drove down to Quilcene to check up on my daughter’s grandpa’s (from her father’s side) home. He passed away two years ago from cancer and they were finally able to get his new home, whom he had his buddy built for him, sold. When we pulled onto the street, mind you we’ve been there quite a few times, we saw the tiny library! It stuck out so well that it obviously got our attention. We ended up pulling over to the side of the road, got out and had a lovely time browsing. It was the best day ever!
But yeah, free books are great and yet they’re even better when you find ones that fall in your niche! The one’s I found are part of The Passage Trilogy by Justin Cronin. I ended up with the first and last, so I will be purchasing the second book, Twelve. At first I thought I could read them separately, but it’s recommended to read them in order because they follow a story line. To sum it up, the trilogy is about an epic apocalyptic sci-fi horror trilogy that spans over a thousand years, blending government conspiracies, a vampire like plague, and a multigenerational fight for human survival. Sounds awesome right? Well, it does for me! Haha! I love books. Like, I really truly love books! I especially love the smell of them, and I love how it takes me out of this world and teleports me into one so unimaginable! I am so so so very thankful for tiny little treasure treats like these. Thank you, to whomever donated these. I appreciate you 🩵
